This week in second grade was a busy one! End of year testing has begun and will continue over the next couple of weeks.
In reading we continued to work on finding the main idea and details to support it. We learned that the best way to focus on a text is to read it more than once, move slowly, and highlight important information. We know that when we highlight, we do so with purpose!
In math we finished up our study of customary measurement. We practiced estimating and measuring and even had a jumping contest to find our class average.
In social studies we used our knowledge of maps to create grid treasure maps complete with legends! Now we are working to write questions about the maps and will have a partner answer them!
